Overview

  • CountHerIn is an initiative to elevate the visibility of women in tax. We publish a referral list of experienced women in tax and are developing an online community to foster connections and opportunities to among women tax professionals.

  • Natalie Worsfold, a Senior Tax Litigator and Managing Partner at Counter Tax Litigators LLP started CountHerIn in 2024.

    Natalie was inspired by the success of ReferToHer™ launched by at Lenczner Slaght LLP and McCarthy Tétrault. Natalie wanted to create a space for women in tax to connect and promote each other.

Getting on the List

  • The first step is to join our LinkedIn group. There you can connect with other women in tax and learn more about our initiative.

  • We want the list to be meaningful. We plan to start with a small list and then encourage the people on the list to add endorsements. If you are already on the list, you can email nworsfold@countertax.ca to endorse an addition.

    To be included in the referral list, the woman must be experienced tax professional (e.g., lawyer or accountant) in private practice in Canada, with at least 8 years of experience in her field, and she must identify as female. If you choose to endorse someone, it should be someone you wholeheartedly and confidently recommend. We generally only add people in one referral category and verify that over 80% of their practice is dedicated to that field.
